Finding clothes that fit a muscular body should not mean choosing between comfort and shape.
For men with broader shoulders, a developed chest and a narrower waist, conventional shirts often involve a compromise. Choose a size that fits your upper body, and the waist becomes loose. Choose a closer fit at the waist, and the chest and shoulders feel restricted.
Oxcloth was created to address those proportions. We specialise in muscle-fit clothing, with a clear focus on the physique it is designed for.
Muscle Fit Is a Matter of Proportion
For us, muscle fit begins with the pattern.
It means allowing room where a muscular body needs it and reducing excess fabric where it does not. Space through the chest and shoulders. Shape through the waist. Sleeves that complement stronger arms.
A fabric’s ability to stretch is useful, but it cannot replace a well-considered cut. Our priority is to create the right shape first, then select fabrics that support comfort and movement.
We are not trying to make one cut suit every body type. Our focus remains on men with muscular and athletic builds, because clothing designed for a specific physique should reflect its proportions.
Cotton Is Central to Our Approach
A shirt can look good in a photograph and still feel disappointing when you put it on. The fabric is what you experience throughout the day, against your skin and with every movement.
That is why premium cotton fabrics remain central to our shirts.
We value the softness, texture and breathable comfort of cotton. We also care about how a fabric sits on the body, so the finished garment complements the cut rather than simply clinging to it.
Our collection includes cotton-rich stretch shirts and 100% cotton linen-look knits. They offer different textures and levels of flexibility, while sharing the same commitment to cotton.
Our shirts contain no polyester.
This is a deliberate fabric choice. We believe muscle fit can be achieved through the right proportions and carefully selected cotton fabrics, without relying on polyester to create a close-fitting silhouette.
Stretch Supports the Fit. It Does Not Define It.
Flexibility has a place in comfortable clothing. In our stretch cotton shirts, it helps you move naturally while maintaining a close fit.
But maximum stretch is not our starting point.
Our starting point is your build: the relationship between your shoulders, chest, arms and waist. The fabric then supports that shape.
This balance is central to Oxcloth. A shirt should complement the physique you have worked for and still feel like a shirt you want to wear all day.
What Premium Means to Us
For us, premium is found in the choices behind the garment.
It is the attention given to the pattern. The feel and texture of the cotton. The way the fabric works with the cut. The care taken in production and finishing.
Our shirts are made in Türkiye, drawing on the country’s established textile expertise and craftsmanship.
We choose fabrics and cuts together, because neither can deliver the finished result alone. Quality fabric deserves a considered fit, and a considered fit deserves quality fabric.
Founded for the Athletic Body
Oxcloth was founded in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2016, inspired by the difficulty of finding stylish clothing for muscular and athletic men.
The idea was straightforward: men with developed physiques needed clothing designed around their shape.
That purpose remains at the heart of Oxcloth Australia today. Across our shirts, polos and chinos, our focus is on clothing that complements a muscular build and fits naturally into everyday life.
The Vision Behind Oxcloth Australia
In 2012, Ozgur Temiz moved from Türkiye to Australia.
He later discovered Oxcloth through a Facebook advertisement and connected with the brand’s purpose and distinctive ox emblem. He saw an opportunity to combine its focus on muscular physiques with his knowledge of Türkiye’s textile industry and fabrics.
Working closely with the UK team, Ozgur helped develop the brand’s quality through fabric selection and Turkish production.
For him, the fit and the fabric were equally important. Clothing for muscular men should offer more than a close silhouette; it should also feel comfortable and well made.
Australian-Owned. Based in Melbourne.
Oxcloth Australia launched on 11 January 2022, continuing the brand’s original purpose for customers in this region.
Ozgur subsequently acquired the rights to Oxcloth in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
Today, Oxcloth Australia is an Australian-owned business based in Melbourne. Our products are stocked and dispatched from Australia, providing local fulfilment for Australian customers and serving customers in New Zealand and Europe from our Australian stock.

It reflects both the men we design for and our commitment to the brand’s purpose. Our focus remains consistent: clothing for muscular physiques, thoughtful cuts and fabrics chosen with care.
Our Commitment

You should not have to accept excess fabric around the waist to accommodate your chest. And a close fit should not require you to give up the feel of cotton.
